While the Forester will be slightly less powerful, it will reach peak torque sooner, which should make it livelier than before. Also, a hybrid powertrain is added next year, but no information is available on that engine at the moment.

Fuel Economy

No official word about the next-gen Forester's fuel economy has been given. Though with such a slight change, we don't expect it to differ from current models. If this holds, drivers can expect an estimated 26 mpg in the city and 33 mpg on the highway.
